The Cable Show 2010 - Go Beyond

Help Us Color This Show Green

CarbonFund.org

We're committed to making The Cable Show 2010 an environmentally responsible event. And you can help. Join in the movement to green by participating in our new partnership with Carbonfund.org, the leading nonprofit carbon offset and climate solutions organization. Carbonfund.org's motto is "Reduce what you can, offset what you can't.™" And that's exactly what The Cable Show 2010 is helping its exhibitors and attendees accomplish.

Here's how:

  • Carbon Offset Program. We've partnered with Carbonfund.org to help offset the carbon footprint associated with cable's largest and most comprehensive event. Through this innovative, voluntary program, Cable Show attendees and exhibitors can easily and affordably support an innovative methane destruction project identified by Carbonfund.org. It's the New York State Landfill Methane Project, a forward-thinking approach to waste management that offers tremendous promise for reducing pollution and mitigating climate change.
  • Convenient Sign-Up. Just sign up to participate when you register online for The Cable Show. If you are an exhibitor, Give us a call at (202) 463-7905 or e-mail exhibitinfo@ncta.com.
  • Affordable Contributions. For individuals, your carbon offset calculation adds up to just $8.50 for the entire Show. For exhibitors, your offset is aligned with the size of your booth space, as this table shows:

  • Advance Commitment. At The Cable Show, we've already taken a big first step by agreeing to cover the direct emissions cost associated with the emissions of your hotels, food, and the convention space.
  • Attendee Premium. You’re helping to improve the planet, so we think you should get some recognition. Participating attendees will receive an Offset Premium to acknowledge program participation.
