The mission of Connect the World (CTW) is to provide sustainable energy & internet connectivity to disadvantaged families worldwide. The pilot program is a first-of-its-kind partnership with Habitat for Humanity and begins in Macedonia, Chile, Tajikistan, Malawi and along the U.S. Gulf Coast. In addition to providing safe, warm, well-lit homes for more than 8,500 children & adults, CTW is transferring the knowledge & skills along with the keys to the home. The goal is to help break the cycle of poverty and provide a positive impact for generations of families. To achieve the best solutions, CTW partners with the best minds, including many with deep roots in the cable industry.

CTW team members have met plenty of kids on this journey, but Flyness is one of a kind. This 12 year old Malawian girl has a spirit all her own. She doesn’t sleep in her own bed, spending her nights at a neighbor’s house on the hard floor. Her day begins at 5 am. It ends after she comes home from school, finishes her chores, helps prepare the food, cleans up the dishes and washes the clothes. And studies. CTW’s mission is to help children like Flyness with a real home, proper lights to study by and access to the Internet. CTW’s programs provide a hand up, not a hand-out by building economically sustainable communities.
