WASHINGTON, DC – An exclusive one-on-one conversation with Brian Roberts, Chairman and CEO of Comcast Corporation, will be the highlight of an upcoming Newsmaker Brunch on Tuesday, May 11 co-sponsored by the Hollywood Radio & Television Society (HRTS) and the National Cable & Telecommunications Association (NCTA).
The special event is part of The Cable Show 2010, NCTA’s 59th Annual Convention and International Exposition, May 11-13, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
As CEO of Comcast, one of the nation's leading providers of entertainment, information and communication products and services, Roberts’ influence on Hollywood is significant – and growing. An audience of Hollywood industry insiders – including producers, directors, script writers, agents and more – will join cable industry executives to hear Roberts’ vision of what the future holds for the production and delivery of entertainment and information content.
“HRTS is committed to offering its members access to some of Hollywood's most accomplished executives,” said Kevin Beggs, President of HRTS, “We are pleased to continue this tradition at our kick-off brunch co-sponsored with the NCTA at The Cable Show with keynote speaker Brian Roberts. His insights into the industry's future will provide a very exciting launch for the conference.”
“This is the first time we have co-hosted an event with HRTS at a Cable Show, and it reinforces the importance to our business of the Hollywood creative community,” said Kyle McSlarrow, President & CEO, NCTA. “This is a great opportunity for Hollywood insiders and other influential industry executives to benefit from attending and participating in the Show and the insights into the cable industry that it can provide.”
