Mr. Adams is responsible for software strategy for Television at Ericsson.
Previously Mr. Adams served as vice president of video architecture and technology at Terayon Communications Systems where he was responsible for all aspects of the company’s architecture and technology relating to digital video.
Prior to his tenure at Terayon, Mr. Adams held several senior positions at Time Warner Cable where he made significant contributions to key project areas such as the Time Warner Full Service Network, Time Warner Digital Cable (Pegasus) and video-on-demand, OpenCable, Open Access (Multiple ISP) and was vice president of engineering for Road Runner.
Mr. Adams is the author of OpenCable Architecture (Cisco Press, December 1999) which received the Cable Museum 2001 Book Award. He is also a co-author of Modern Cable Television Technology (Morgan Kaufmann, October 2003) and contributed the chapters on digital video and home networking. As an expert in his field, Mr. Adams has been granted eight patents in the digital video technology area. He is a senior member of the SCTE as well as a senior member of the IEEE. He holds an honors degree in Electrical and Electronic engineering from Bristol University, England.
