Pam Slay

Pam Slay, Senior Vice President, Network Program Publicity for Crown Media Holdings, Inc., owner and operator of Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel, spearheads the communications and press strategies aimed at driving tune-in and ratings success for the networks. Slay crafts consumer-focused messages which reflect the goals of Hallmark Channel as a public company.

In addition to managing external communications for Hallmark Channel’s programming, Slay creates and maintains key media relationships that support program scheduling and administration. She also oversees program publicity, talent relations, photography, digital and new media, and all social media platforms. She and her team are responsible for creating Crown Features Syndicate – a wire service that provides Hallmark-oriented entertainment news to thousands of newsrooms and online sites on a daily basis.

Slay is based in the Los Angeles office and reports to Bill Abbott, President and Chief Executive Officer, Crown Media Holdings, Inc., Hallmark Channel and Hallmark Movie Channel.

Slay was previously Vice President, Network Program Publicity for four years and also held other positions throughout her tenure at Hallmark Channel. She served as Executive Director and began her career at Hallmark Channel as Director. Prior to joining Hallmark Channel, Slay was with Warner Bros. International Marketing where she served as Executive Director, Publicity.

Slay also was the head of publicity for Buena Vista International implementing press strategies for a bold slate of Disney programming in all territories outside the U.S.

Slay is a member of the Television Executives Publicity Committee, the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and EPPS.

Slay has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas. She resides in Los Angeles, Calif.
