Jordan has been with Digitas since August 2005. As Senior Vice President, Media, Marketing & Content, he is responsible for overseeing the account management and media activities for American Express. Jordan has also played a central role in the development of Digitas’ brand content offering, The Third Act and its annual NewFront event pairing marketers with content creators.
Before joining Digitas, Jordan was VP Group Media Director at FCBi where he was responsible for all online media efforts on behalf of Merck pharmaceuticals. In that role, Jordan focused his attention on Merck’s primary goal in the digital space: increasing treatment consideration by converting prospective users into confirmed leads.
Prior to FCBi, Jordan was at Digitas’ sister company Modem Media where he ran the media practice for its New York office and managed the Delta Air Lines and Enterprise Rent-A-Car businesses. While there, he developed a media strategy and re-engineered creative direction for Delta to map messages to specific consumer mindsets.
Jordan spent many years early in his career at Ammirati Puris Lintas (now Lowe & Partners) where he worked on accounts as disparate as Sara Lee, Bacardi, Dell and UPS. His tenure at APL began on the traditional media side, but Jordan moved over to the Interactive division in 1998 just after its formation. At 26, he was the youngest member of the company’s New York Operating Board – a group of 30 executives tasked with leading key initiatives of the 1,100 person flagship office.
Jordan began his professional career at the White House in The Office of Presidential Press Advance. In that role, his office was responsible for orchestrating the movements of the White House press corps following the President. The pressure-packed environment of immediate reaction and mobilization served as a good primer for the world of New York advertising.
Jordan holds a B.A. degree in Marketing from The George Washington University in Washington DC.
